You have now received your financial preparation email, for your first financial mediation session setting out the information you will need to gather, the forms you will need to complete and send to the Mediator before the 1st mediation session.
We strongly recommend that you read this email all the way through, as soon as possible.
We assume that you have not already completed a Form E but if you have, please simply update it and send it to the mediator with a Compass Resolution completed income and expenditure spreadsheets, which you will find attached to this email and in the Divorce Manual .
The Mediator will usually want your Form E and income/expenditure spreadsheets a few days before your first session. Check with them.
If you are starting from scratch, please begin by familiarising yourself with the attached financial booklet and income/expenditure spreadsheet, to get an early sense of the information which will take the longest to get hold of such, as your pension details and the tasks that will take the longest to complete, such as your expenditure spreadsheet.
Then start the process of obtaining this information and completing these tasks as soon as possible so that you are ready and prepared for your first session
Remember, the ultimate responsibility will be yours, to complete your own Financial Booklet and Income/Expenditure spreadsheet with accurate and up-to-date information.
