Part 5- Income/Expenditure
Please use the income and expenditure excel spreadsheet provided by your mediator.
It is very important that you and your former Partner both use this spreadsheet to minimise confusion if and when these are referred to on the screen (Online Mediation) .
Please read Chapter 8, section 5- Completing your income and expenditure schedule BEFORE you start to complete your spreadsheet.
This will help you to avoid the usual pitfalls when completing your monthly expenditure spreadsheet and help you, for example, to consider how to reasonably integrate and reflect the Standard of Living factor in your expenditures items and totals.
There are usually two main periods of time (columns) to consider when completing your expenditure spreadsheet, namely:
- Between now and when you reach your final financial settlement- Interim period
- Beyond your financial settlement-Clean break or maintenance
If you are living with a new Partner, please ensure that you indicate on your spreadsheet how items of expenditure are shared between you.
