2.4 Investments

Investments come in many different forms.

Some of these investments would attract CGT on a transfer or sale.

PART 3 para 2 of the Financial Disclosure Booklet asks for a CGT calculation if this is the case, so that a net value can be calculated for mediation.

If the investment requires a bit more explanation than the form permits you can provide this during mediation and the Mediator will note this for context.

People often ask whether, for example, Unvested shares in Public companies need to be disclosed. The answer and principle is quite straight forward.

Disclose every investment in this form so that you and your former partner can have fully informed discussion about them in mediation and make decisions together.

If your situation is complex with lots of different times of investments which will need unravelling and understanding please consider using one of our expert Financial Neutrals to support you with this. Please ask your Mediator for a recommendation to someone on our Panel
