It can feel incredibly tough to come into mediation with an open, honest, reflective and flexible mindset and approach, ready to explore a range of different perspectives and options for your shared parenting plan.
In this section we set out some recommended Do’s and Don’ts to ensure that your shared parenting plan successfully delivers for everyone.
The parenting plan template invites you both to answer a series of questions under specific categories in preparation for coming into mediation to explore a range of options, as you work together to construct a plan which will work for you both and the children.
Understanding what your children need is half the story, consistently meeting those needs is the full story.
The main aim of this questionnaire is to help you and the other parent improve your ‘self’ and ‘external awareness’ (of each other) so that you can support each other, as parents.
If you and the other parent follow these 5 stages it will significantly improve your co-parenting relationship and help you to create a successful co-parenting plan.
