Before you and your former partner are likely to feel willing and able to explore your financial options in mediation you will need to feel satisfied that you have the full and honest financial picture or, as your solicitor may put it, a ‘full and frank’ financial disclosure.
Mediation is about co-operation and collaboration, not coercion, so, if your intent is to come into mediation to get what you want, at the expense of others, you are in the wrong place and mediation will fail.
